Hi family and friends!This month I’m committing to wearing a dress each day as a way to support those who are victims of slavery today. Tragically slavery is so evident in our broken world and Dressember partners with multiple organizations to fight for human justice. I want to bring awareness and join the movement to show love and be an active participant in God’s work of restoration and renewal!Growing up in Guatemala, I was able to see in the unseen behind all the beauty of this country, the pain of women and children in slavery. I helped how I could in my small roles, translating their stories, visiting, and praying. Then I came to the United States to study, and I joined IJM to go and reach out to them in person. The fact that we can choose in our daily lives to think about, pray for, and support this cause is powerful, and every decision makes a change.
